The actress-singer, who has beforehand spoken about her battles with habit, alcoholism and postpartum despair, performed Juliette Barnes on the ABC collection. Her character was a rustic music star who struggled with substance abuse.
Now, in a current interview with The Messenger, Panettiere claimed that the writers for Nashville used parts and experiences from her private life when creating Juliette’s storylines.
“Straight from the start, it was like, I’m relationship a soccer participant, [and then] Juliette dates a soccer participant,” she stated. “After which they turned her into an alcoholic. Then they turned to her leaving her daughter and going to this loopy [place] in Europe, and it was very apparent…”
The Scream VI actress continued, “They weren’t doing their homework. They weren’t creating new storylines. They had been simply my life and going, ‘Oh, let’s simply take what she’s going by means of and put our little spin on it.’ After which, ta-da! It’s achieved and achieved.”
Panettiere proceeded to clarify how working 12- to 20-hour days on set began to take a toll on her psychological well being and total wellbeing.
“I didn’t have time to handle myself [and] to consider and undergo the ache I used to be experiencing bodily [and] emotionally. I simply wished to drum it out and watch senseless tv and nice reveals,” she recalled. “Something to maintain my thoughts off of that as a result of I knew that subsequent day I used to be going to be again at it once more. I used to be like, tear central. I don’t even suppose on a cleaning soap opera that I cried as a lot [as I did] on Nashville.”
The present ran for six seasons from 2012 and 2018.
